According to the AZ Repub, the monsoon season has started with the new
definition of when it starts and end, which does not depend on the dew
point. I think this new definition will be discarded over time because I
believe to many monsoon has always implied rain and and three consecutive
days with dew point above 55 is a better measure than the new definition. It
is interesting to note though, that this morning there were a few sprinkles
of rain, just by chance on the day of the new definition.
