How do you figure? Putting all their eggs in one basket, and a 6" basket no
less, seems nearly suicidal. I spent the entire week next to one of these at
the North Rim. It did not work as advertised. It was describing the Orion
Nebula-in June.

I must not be enlightened. You're right.

Where did I blame you with this statement? Were you in on the calls I made to
Meade? I didn't say, "they didn't understand my questions." I said they'd
never heard of the mount _at all_. I can read, Stan. The mount says, Meade
LXD-600 right on the side. They said they had no knowledge of it and made no
suggetions as to where I might find information on it. And, when I described
the problem, they disavowed the mount AND software.

Tell me this-Why did Kitt Peak remove the 16" LX200 from the visitor dome if
it's such a wonderful instrument?

Answer: Because it kept breaking down and they lost money on refunds to
visitors. I attended the Evening Program when the scope was relatively new,
and Adam Block was already complaining about it.

If Meade can't get it right for NOAO, why should they care about me?

It's not just my opinion. It's not blind prejudice against Meade. I am also
satisfied with many of the Meade items I own-EP's etc. It's the attitude I've
experienced first hand from them and the take it or else culture there. The
Sleight of hand of loose terminology, (RC) and inferior products marketed as
something special (6" ETX-LS $1300 talking TV set) that makes my blood boil.
I'm a customer. Don't tell me you never heard of the product I have in front
of me with your name on it.

Gotta go calm down...Thanks Stan. My cardiologist thanks you, too.
