FWIW, in Flagstaff there will be viewing at Lowell on Mars Hill
(a good vantage point for once) from 5pm onward. Similarly the Coconino
Astronomical Society will be hosting viewing from Buffalo Park on
Switzer Mesa (the lava flow that divides east/west Flagstaff) as well.
The weather prsopects indeed look poor, but these troughs do tend
to slip behind the NWS predictions, as Tom noted. This morning's Flagstaff
discussion includes the remark:
LATEST RUNS ABOUT 6-12 HRS SLOWER
WITH THIS PROGRESSION THAN YESTERDAY`S RUNS.
...so they're talking Thursday for the main event. A dry slot ahead of
the incoming storm is common (as happened last week), and if those few
clear hours are well-timed, we may get a good view after all.
