Did anyone determine their limiting magnitude while observing the Leonids?
Sky & Telescope has a conversion chart on page 100 of the November issue.
At 3:40 MST, the radiant was about 55 degrees altitude (at least for
Vekol, but is likely similar for most of Arizona). As a estimate, it
appears that we only saw 6% to 10% of the Zenithal Hourly Rate (ZHR).
If there had been no moon, we would have seen only 80% of the ZHR.
So multiply your moonlight only totals by 8!
Those of your observing within town will have to figure out your own
limiting magnitude. :-)
