I see I am not the only one that was annoyed with lights. At my place,
car lights 5 miles away coming down Cherry road hill, and ten miles away
coming down Mingus mountain were inexpectedly bright and annoying. I
learned a lot of the do's and dont's this event and if ever there is
another like this one I will definitely go to a site that is dark and
secluded.
One thing that was also annoying were the airplane lights that I kept
catching out of the corner of my eye. I am sure they made me miss
Leonids by having to look at them to only find out they were false
alarms. I think the FAA should ground all airline flights whenever
there is a major meteor shower so that they will not interfere with our
'scientific' work (-:
