This is a smart idea, one highly recommended by Ron Dantowitz, the
"Master Wizard" of high-resolution planetary astrovideo. He has been
recommending narrow band/colored filters for some years -- usually a
Wratten 25 Red as a baseline. The key is to do separate images in
different colors with a monochrome camera, rather than using a direct
color camera.
This works well with video cams such as the PC-164C from SuperCircuits,
and web cams. I have a Vesta Pro 680 web cam that I will be ordering an
adapter for shortly....I already have pretty good sets of various
filters to play with....
Cheers,
