[AZ-Observing] Has anyone seen Comet Linear?

Howdy all;
David Fredericksen and I were making our way back from Riverside on Saturday
night and pulled off I-10 at Ave. 339....the usual turn off to the SAC Flatiron
site. We went north of the freeway about 2 miles to get away from the lights
and scanned for Comet Linear without seeing it. It was just getting dark and I
was looking in the right area...."down and left" from Procyon. It is possible
that the comet had already set, I honestly don't know.

One reason was to use Dave's new 10X50 binoculars....one of those Riverside
bargains. They are quite good and only 50 bucks. A little color, but pretty
sharp stars....certainly 50 dollars worth. From Oceanside Photo and Telescope,
ask for Mike Fowler and tell him I sent you;-)

Anyway, I know that Tom climbed on his roof and got a photo...but has anyone
else spotted LINEAR since then? I think I caught it in my binoculars when we
were driving toward Riverside on Thursday evening, but I can't be sure, there
was lots of haze and I just got a quick glance from near Quartzsite as we
stopped for a burger on the way to the conference.

Curious;
Steve Coe
