[AZ-Observing] Re: Guess no one is heading out...

But the down side is, what if you're wrong and you miss a beautiful
evening? You will probably never forgive yourself. I remember about 4
years ago or so what happened when I had planned on having a private
picnic & star party. A hurricane developed and there was extreme
forecasts of strong winds, hail, heavy rain, etc. This was the storm
where the state capital had brought in sand bags because of expected
flooding. Remember? Anyway, based on these dire forecasts, and the
weather conditions leading up to the event, I decided to cancel. By
evening on the day of the event it cleared off completely, was only
slightly breezy, and was nice and cool. A beautiful evening. So, sure
you shouldn't pack up and make that 200 mile trip? There's just the
chance. . . :-)
