[AZ-Observing] Re: Going to Eagle Eye for Geminids

Sounds good to me. Haven't been there in a long time. That's Exit 81. And they
have "facilities". I was wondering about that big "wash" at the Antenna site
and not sure if it was dried out sufficiently by now.

On a subsequent session last night trying for Geminids, I was not so
successful as the first 10-min session 3/4-hour earlier, but I did have a
sweater on this time. Perhaps I was too comfortable, I only saw 1. So my ZHR
fell to < 30. Kind of like the stock market, the lesser the time interval, the
bumpier the ride. Graphs and ZHRs don't reflect those delightful mini-bursts
and flurries amidst the longer dry spells of little activity.

Howdy all;
I need to stay closer to home for the next several days, so I am going to
try the Eagle Eye site to see some meteors and hopefully, photograph a few.

West of I-10 to Salome Road and right for 8 miles to Eagle Eye road and
right for 8 miles. The sign for Harquahala Mt. Park directs you to the left
(west) and the park is just 100 yards off the highway.

Hope to see someone else there;

Steve Coe
