[AZ-Observing] Re: Fwd: Grand Canyon moonlight hike photos

Hi Dean -

Thanks. I'm at work so don't have the exif data in front of me. It gets wiped
out when I apply noise-reduction. But I believe it was in the neighborhood of
25 sec at, I believe, f5.6 (17-85mm Canon zoom at 17mm) with ISO800. That's a
pretty standard exposure for me when I shoot the night sky although I really do
need to get a non-zoom 50mm at f2 or something for std Milky Way shots. If the
EXIF data is different than this, I'll let you know.

Yeah, I like how well M31 came out. The moon didn't seem to destroy the night
sky as much at first while it rose amidst the smoke layer. Once above it
(second moonrise shot) it was a different story. Unfortunately, the smoke in
the Canyon prevented me from getting a good foreground. I'll take a look at
the original moonlight shots to determine if M33 shows using my own preverted
imagination.
