Small note on NGC 1888/1889 - Back in the late 80's, George DeLange
inadvertently observed NGC 1888/1889 and mistook it for a comet. He did
indeed call Brian Marsden at 2:00 AM, and was regrettably told to never call
again :-) Anyway, since that event, Those of us in the know, have always
called that galaxy pair "Comet DeLange" :-)
(by the way, George discovered "Comet DeLange" with the very scope you now
possess - hope you have better luck)
/Bob
