In the observing stunt department, Wednesday and Thursday will provide
good opportunities to look for Jupiter naked eye during the daytime. Just
before sunset, Jupiter will be due south, about 90 degrees away from the
sun. A polarizing filter can be used to greatly darken this part of the
sky.
Why Wednesday and Thursday? The moon will be nearby both days. At 7:00
on Wednesday, Jupiter is just over ten moon diameters to the lower left
(~7 o'clock position) of the moon. On Thursday at this time, it is about
the same distance to the left of the moon. Try first with binoculars, and
then see if it's visible without them.
