Bill;
Matt Luttinen and I did the same type of thing on Sunday night at Cherry
Road. I don't have classes until Noon Monday, so he and I packed up and
drove to some darker skies. Unfortunatly, we had one big cloud that just
sat on the southern horizon.
It is come and go enough to view up and down the Milky Way with binoculars
and we enjoye that quite a bit. M6 and 7 up to Lagoon and Trifid....on Star
Cloud, M 17 and 16....across to Pipe Nebula. Then up to Scutum star cloud.
Overhead to the Coathanger, Cygnus star cloud and North America nebula. The
we turned the chairs around and did Andromeda Galaxy, M33, Double Cluster
and Alpha Perseus Association.
A fun evening, but the clouds could have gone away faster for us.
Oh well;
Steve Coe
