Hi Brian,
I took a low resolution spectrum with the SGS and 14" on Wednesday night.
I have not had time to really analyze it yet but you can see the preliminary
result at
http://www.xanaduobservatory.com/17pholmes.htm
Would like to see your spectrum for comparison.
Clear Skies,
Keith Schlottman

Subject: [AZ-Observing] Comet Holmes first look tonight
The comet is as bright as last night (2.4 or 2.5), and seems
another notch larger naked-eye. I am observing at the Lowell 1.1-m
with its SSS spectrograph, and will get a spectrum later tonight
to help decide about the strength of the emission.
\Brian
