[AZ-Observing] Re: Comet C/2002 C1 Ikeya/Zhang Image

Andrew,

Through my 10-inch on that same night, the comet showed a tail extending 
for about 1/2 degree away from the sun, but I didn't see that strong 
ray that appears in your image.  Instead, it was a diffuse haze a 
few arcminutes wide that blended with the coma.
