[AZ-Observing] Comet 17P/Holmes and Dr. Elizabeth Roemer

Hi all,
Dr. Roemer is the astronomer who recovered the comet in 1964 while she was 
working at the U.S. Naval Observatory in Flagstaff.  I just had a most lovely 
conversation with her on the telephone. Her main interest was in the variety of 
structure and composition of comets.  She was intentionally looking for Comet 
Holmes when she recovered it.  (It was last seen in 1906 and in the 1940s was 
determined to be unrecoverable.) 

Anyway, she does not have a computer at home and I'm printing off information 
and photos to mail her a package to her home in Tucson.  If you would like to 
mail her a print of your "real" photo or drawing or observing notes, I'm sure 
she would be delighted.  

I probably shouldn't post her address on this email, so please email me off 
list or call and I'll get it out to you.
