[AZ-Observing] Re: Cherry Rd last night - WOW!

To the extent that small aperture observers are dutifully giving a general
seeing conditions rating, they should include bulk-motion factor to be fair,
esp. if posting or publishing about a specific event. However there is nothing
in the scales published (1-5 or 1-10, Pickering or others) definitions or
explanations, that says hey wait you have to knock off a couple points for
having a small scope. These scales were made FOR small scopes.

Right, so it'll be you with your 14-inch or whatever at some
medium-high power that you would always make these estimates with.
Actually, seeing estimates won't vary as much as you think
since the general blur you get with larger apertures is replaced
by bulk image-motion at smaller apertures (and the small-aperture
observers should include image-motion in the seeing estimate, which
I think was discussed when went through this last time).
