[AZ-Observing] Re: Cherry Rd -Friday Night

Because of the extended drought conditions, despite a few wet years here an=
d there, lifetime residents of Crown King have repeatedly told me to "carry=
" when I am outdoors with my telescope or walking the roads, especially dur=
ing the night, at early morning and early evening. Mountain lions are now s=
ocializing with the result that people find them on their porches, having l=
itters in their wood sheds. Mountain lions now are frequently eating the do=
gs of visitors. Local people know to bring dogs in at night. I am told this=
 is occurring in lower altitudes as well. When you hear of a bear coming in=
to Scottsdale or some other populated area, know there are lions in tandem.=
 I carry a 38 and pepper spray.
