[AZ-Observing] Re: Capella at noon

Ooh, what fun! I've seen most of the first or second mag stars, (as well as
all the naked-eye planets) in full daylight. I try to show them during the
day at public events, if I have the chance. The only difference in
technique is, I use the Sun as a base point, since it doesn't move as fast
as the Moon. Vega, Procyon, Sirius, Betelgeuse, Rigel, Capella, Aldeberan,
Spica, Antares and Arcturus have all been seen in broad daylight by my
manual setting circled C8.
Try it, it's FUN! (Be sure to use major precautions if you calibrate using
the Sun, though! NEVER VIEW THE SUN WITHOUT A FULL APERTURE SOLAR FILTER,
OR SUITABLE SOLAR SCOPE!)
