I should also mention that the Dec motor needing replacement is not a
problem with the dec motor that came with the telescope from the
factory. It is damage I inadvertently caused, not Meade because of
*allegedly* cheap products. I won't go into the details here, but if you
are interested you can send me a private email message, or talk to Gene
Lucas when you see him. He is familiar with the problem since I have
been informing him of my progress in getting this problem I created for
myself diagnosed and resolved (mostly through myself working with MaximDL).
