[AZ-Observing] CAS Saturday Observing



The Coconino Astronomical Society will hold it's August observing
session at Wupatki (Saturday 8/10/2002) if the weather cooperates!!!

Meet around sunset at the Domey Mountain Lunch/View area:

1. Take I40 east from Flagstaff to US89
        (exit 201, Country Club,
        Flagstaff Mall).

2. Follow 89 north to the Wupatki National
        Monument (about 26.2 miles)

3.  Turn right (east) into WNM and go about 9.3
        miles (well past the Lomaki ruins
        on the left and the Citadel pull-off
        on the right), and turn right, onto
        a very short road ending in the
        parking area.  A small wooden sign
        on the left marks the turnoff, but
        is hard to see in the dark.
        (If you drive through the cinder cones
        and start descending rapidly you've
        gone too far!)
