I can see you guys are not from the north country. At those 
temperatures one needn't even worry about your eye sticking to the 
eyepiece. The secret will be to stay out of the wind. Park your 
vehicle on the wind side to block it or even set up a tarp to block 
it. At 30 degrees with a strong wind the windchill can quickly get 
subzero.

The cool dark night may provide some good seeing if you can stay warm.
