Richard;
If you come out to the Antennas site for this weekend I will provide you
an opportunity to point out the "belfry" in my 6" f/8 refractor. Exactly
where do you believe that is located??
I am going to start my trip to Utah on Sunday so I might tear down and
start heading north on Saturday, but several folks said they would be out
on Thursday or Friday, so I don't think I will be alone for long.
BTW, I am writing this from the Antennas site, I have a new Verizon
Internet connection that plugs into a USB port. Needless to say, from a
location that is 1.5 miles from a huge antenna farm it works great and the
connection is as fast as anything I ever got from Cox cable in the house.
I will let you know how it works as I travel around this Summer.
The good news is that once the Sun goes down it is terrific viewing
weather. Even at midnight a jacket and thick socks keeps me comfortable
as I wait for all that great Milky Way to rise.
High temperature that I noticed on my outside thermometer today was 94 F,
much lower inside the Winnebago with the AC running. And having a
microwave pizza. And "working" on the computer.
Life is tough;
Steve Coe
