I've wondered what options are available for mounting a fairly heavy digital
SLR camera, with a long lens, in such a way that I can track with sidereal
motion. Well, at least I think that's how I want it to move. ;-)
But seriously, I know of barn door mounts, and I wondered how effective they
are, and what their practical limits are. Beyond that, would it make sense
to try and locate a used NexStar base, and adapt it to pointing a camera?
Just curious, what have been your experiences?
Thanks!
