[AZ-Observing] Re: Arizona weather

Well, I'll be. They were 100 year, not 500 year floods. My memory isn't 
quite as bad as I thought after all. It is interesting how a writeup, as 
in the link below, can give a different flavor to what happened. The 
thing I remembered most was the torrential water rushing down the Salt 
River through Phoenix. That was quite a sight. The bridge over the river 
near 24th st. started to shift, but the old-old Tempe bridge held up great.
