Those who can pick and choose where they want to live in AZ and have
made their nut early or are retired consider Sierra Vista an ideal
candidate for a place to settle. There are a lot of amateur astronomers
already in the area who have also made it their choice so you would have
good company. And of course what I would choose if work was not an
issue. They have a club, Huachuca Astronomy Club (HAC) of Southeastern
Arizona and a website, http://c3po.cochise.cc.az.us/astro/index.html
which you can check out for starters. Try member Doug Snyder's
http://www.blackskies.com, who lives in Palominas, or others on the club
links page.
