All,
AASP Saturday evening turned out to be pretty breezy after ~ 9:00 PM and
seeing went down hill, but still observable at lower powers if you had a
stable scope mounting.
Some nice meteors were seen against a very nice Milky Way arcing overhead.
Also seen, a helicopter with no lights on taking a pass around the field
wondering what was saturating the infrared scanner (red astronomer lights
with many mirrors aimed skyward). I guess they didn't want to ruin our night
vision, ha-ha.
There were lots of folks and telescopes, I'd guess at least 50, a great
turn-out.
The observation of the Sun the next morning in Frank's scope mentioned by
Jack below was INDEED a treat! Thanks Frank!!
