Jeremy's excellent image is all the more impressive when you read which lens he
used: the 18-55mm Kit lens. This is the lens that can be bought with Canon
digital SLR cameras as a very inexpensive option. Many advanced photographers
"wouldn't be caught dead using this lens", but look at the results it is
capable of producing. Note that Jeremy stopped the lens down from f/3.5 (its
widest at 18mm) to f/7.1 in order to sharpen the stars and reduce the
vignetting.
