I probably didn't surf close enough to the Sun with my binocs I guess, kind
of hard to. I hope your photos turn out. Looking forward! It's nice your
co-workers are into it like that. It is so great that you did this, I know
it's no small feat moving your "Pieramyd". Maybe I'll take off work and
visit your job for the Jupiter Occultation!

Yes, I brought my scope to work today, Pieramyd and all.
Once located, I
could clearly see the Moon and Venus in binos. Even through
the clouds. Go
figure.
My plan is to do the same thing for Jupiter also. It
definitely did help
with the clouds, although the contrast wa waaay down.
I'll bring the pics, if they're not too embarassingly bad,
and I finish the
roll of prints before then. As mentioned, the contrast was
bad, so they may
not come out. I took both slides and prints, though. And
it was most
assuredly "really great" to view! Especially the reactions
of some of my
coworkers. Fun!
