        I went Sat. eve. to the star party, I agree with all that was posted
about Five Mile Meadow on this list. 
        The site is great except for the campsite bonfire (both nights) and
lantern (Friday eve.) on the south side of the field.

        It will qualify for a "large gathering type" northern site for a
star party IF you can put up with camper traffic and lights. 
        (No traffic on the road Sat. night though, that I noticed.) 

        The skies there have enormous potential, being dark and at high
altitude.
        The camper situation will be hit and miss. Indeed, it IS a National
Forest to be shared with.

        Any comments? This list has been rather quiet about this star
party......
