<USS (no subject)

(( Note:  takes place during "Getting the Keys to the New Ship" ))

"Moving On"
Captain Keith Ketchum and Lt. Georgia Lewis


Georgia needed to get the final approval for her transfer to Starfleet  
Medical and for an extended LOA from the Avalon. For this she needed to find  
Captain Ketchum. Walking around for a while she finally located him looking 
out  at the new Avalon. She was going to miss serving on this new and glorious 
ship,  
but it was something she needed to do.
  
"Excuse me Captain. Is was wondering if I could have a moment of your  time?" 
She was trying very hard to keep her accent to a minimum. She didn't want  to 
sound stupid or anything of that nature when she spoke of her request.
  
"Of course, Georgia, I will always have time for you.  What's  going on?"  He 
turned to look at her.
  
Taking a deep breath Georgia looked at the captain. She was  going to miss 
him but she had to do this.  "Sir, I would like you to  approve my request for 
a transfer back to Starfleet Medical and for an extended  LOA from Avalon. I 
fully intend to return if yous will have me?"
 
"Starfleet Medical, interesting.  Finally, going to become that doctor  that 
you are destined to be?  Consider it approved, and you better come  back.  
Someone has to watch over Skyler."  He winked at her when he  said the last 
part.
 
"I think you will do a fine job while I am gone and if I hear good things I 
will 
make sure to bring back some Pecan pies. Thank you again for you understanding. 
I know Skyler will be okay with a friend like you around." Now it was her turn 
to wink at the Captain before she turned and made her way back to the nursery 
to 
find Skyler and  check on the baby.
