"Yes, or No, That Is The Question"

       Skyler had finally been released from her confinement.  She had been 
on the bridge getting the verdict from the Captain. She already knew what the 
outcome was going to be. It was the only fair one to expect. In all her years 
of serving with Captain Ketchum she would knew that if nothing else, he was a 
fair man. So he had no choice but to find both parties Guilty. The getting 
along part was going to be the hard part. But she would do the best she could.
 
       After the verdict was handed down she listened to what Keith had to 
say. It was going to be an interesting mission this much was sure. She had 
thirty minutes to change back into her First Officer's uniform and report back 
to 
the bridge. It was going to feel good to be back at work and she couldn't wait 
to report for duty or to tell Mehdi.

       Upon returning to their quarters, she found them empty. Apparently 
Mehdi had to report for duty in sickbay.  As she walked in she was in such a 
hurry to tell him about the news that she hadn't even noticed the smell of 
fresh 
cut roses. Looking around she found them on a table by the door. She knew that 
they weren't there when she left for her meeting.

       Now she was intrigued. She walked over to them and found a note 
attached. She opened it and the note said,
        
        Imzadi, I love you, now and always. We are and always have been meant 
for one another. I cannot bear the thought of being anything other than 
eternally yours another minute. If you will have me, Imzadi, please marry me on 
the 
fourteenth of this month.

       Skyler was in total shock when she read the note. She had no idea that 
Mehdi was planning this. And to make matters worse she only had a week. She 
knew how she felt. But was she ready for such a commitment. She didn't really 
have too much time to think about it. She already knew the answer so why 
hesitate.

       "Computer send the following message to Dr. Idrys in Sickbay. Dr. 
Idrys, the fourteenth of this month will be just fine."

       The computer sent the message and Skyler hurried and got changed. She 
then checked for a response, to which there was none, so she left their 
quarters and reported back to the bridge as First Officer in what seemed a very 
long 
time.  It was going to seem even longer as she waited to see what Mehdi was 
going to do.
