<USS Avalon> Walker's reaction to briefing

OOC: Just a bit of a post to show Walker's still 'round...though for how long is the question! 

IC:
Walker Ranger walked calmly up to Major Phillips. "Congrats on the promotion, Sir. I'd not be coming to you save for one thing. Talea's gotten some information that seems to indicate changes are in the air, and neither of us likes the idea." His very private thought was, 'If they dare to separate us now, I'll see them all consigned to the deepest Pit!'
As if he'd not thought such a vitriolic thought, he said quietly, "I have a suspicion she and I are about to be pulled and replaced. Can't say I'm entirely happy about the prospect, but as the Creator wills, so shall it be." This, while sounding fatalistic, was, in reality, simply a statement of the immutability of the Creator's will. He heaved a sigh, then said, "I'm just hoping whatever's in store for us, whether it be this mission, Creator help us all, or something else entirely, won't reverse her progress." He shook his head. "I will do my best to keep my head in the game, get my company ready for this, Sir. Count on that!" He then asked, "Orders, Sir? Other than getting ready for this mission we still don't know enough about?"
