<USS Avalon> Time at Hand - The Mission

Time at Hand - The Mission
By Captain Keith Ketchum

The Captain awaited the arrival of Lieutenant Snuffy to the bridge.

He had done what he thought was right under the circumstances in regards to
the recent display of emotions between Skyler and Sierra, and had named Acting
Command Level Officers.

Now onto the mission at hand. Time would be of the essence.

He read the report that Skyler had passed onto him regarding certain rips in
space, he had been awaiting final approval from Starfleet Intelligence on
whether they could proceed with this mission or if they had something else
planned
for the Avalon. During the scuffle on the bridge, the orders had come
through.

Now, all he had to do was to engage the Science officer to try to determine
what might be causing the phenomena to occur.

Reports from other ships are that there is a temporal effect around the rips,
and so far, nothing has emerged from them.

“Computer, open a communication to the entire crew”, Keith stood and began
walking back and forth across the bridge.

The computer responds, “Ship wide Communications Open.”

“Crew of the Avalon, as many of you know, certain events occurred on the
bridge, rumors spread faster than truths. Truth shall prevail in this
circumstance. I have entrusted the investigation of what occurred on the
bridge to the
Counselor. She has already talked to or set up times to talk to the parties
involved. If you were on the bridge at this time, please be free to discuss
this with Lieutenant McKinsely.”

Keith paused for a moment and then continued, “I have named as Acting First
Officer, Senior Lieutenant Karg White Feather, and as Acting Second Officer,
Lieutenant Felicity Roan. This stability, especially during this time will all
of us to continue on as missions dictate.”

“Now, onto that mission, Starfleet Intelligence reports that there have been
several temporal rips in space, we are on our way to one of them currently to
investigate it. I hope that we will be able to resolve what might be causing
these, and close them. We also will be guarding them to prevent anyone from
going into them. Ketchum out.”

Keith closed the communication and sat back down in his chair. This would
prove interesting.
