Lt. 1st. Class Georgia Lewis, Yeoman Amelia Renaldi & Cmdr Skyler
 


Having heard rumor's of a strange ship Georgia  wanted to see how Skyler was. 
She knew that anything temporal made Skyler very  nervous. She changed into 
her off duty attire and made her way to deck 3 where  Skyler's quarter's were. 
She had the code to enter the room, just in case Skyler  wasn't there, but she 
would do the proper thing first and ring the chime. She  rang the chime and 
waited for a reply allowing her to enter. 


Turning away from the window she'd been staring out of, Mia looked  at the 
door and blinked. Skyler wouldn't ring her own chime. Shrugging she  called 
out, 
"Come in."

Georgia  heard a voice say to come in, but it wasn't Skyler's voice. It was a 
voice she  hadn't heard before and she wondered if she should call security 
or not. Instead  she walked through the open doors and called out, "Ms. Skyler, 
yous here?" She  looked around and that's when she saw the young woman 
staring out of the window.  " 'Cuse me, but jest who is yous and whats yous 
doin in 
Ms. Skyler's quarters?"  


"You must be Georgia." Mia replied with a smile. "I'm Amelia. I'm  Sky.. er.. 
the Commander's yeoman." 


Georgia looked warily at the young woman. "Ifn  you be Ms. Skyler's yeoman, 
hows come I aint never seen you after all this time?  Yous were 'bout to say 
sumthin else, what was it?" Georgia stood there with her  arms crossed under 
her 
breast's.  


"I haven't been down to sick bay." Mia answered. "And I was about to  say her 
name." 


"Hows comes yous is in her quarters? She dunt let  jest anyone comes in. Even 
Is has to ring de chime. So...hows long yous known  Ms. Skyler?" She was 
beginning to wonder what things Skyler hadn't told her.  


Mia smiled warmly at the older woman. "I've been waiting a while,  I've known 
her for a few months now, and I was here when she  left." 


"Yous been here dis whole time? Even during the  red alerts n such? She know 
yous here?" There was somthing going on and Georgia  was getting that feeling 
in her gut.  


"I've gone to work and come back." Mia replied. "I was hoping Skyler  would 
be back from the battle bridge by now." 


Walking over to the couch Georgia sits down and  pats the seat next to her. 
"Come heres and talks to me. Is thinks yous more than  Ms. Skyler's yeoman. I's 
jest wants her to be happy. Do yous make her happy? So whys dunt yous tells 
me 'bout yourself? Is  dunt bite." Georgia smiled at Mia.  


Mia laughed. "There's not much to tell, Ma'am." 


Georgia looked at Mia before speaking, "Oh, but  Is thinks that there is. 
Sees, Ms. Skyler dunt give out her room code to  anyones, not even me, ands Is 
known her for years. She dun't like people messin  wit her stuff. Sos ifn shes 
gave yous her code, yous must mean sumthin to her."  


"We're friends." Mia replied. It was the truth, maybe not the whole  truth, 
but she wasn't sure what that would be yet.  


"Hmm, yous must be close friends ifn shes given  yous the code to her rooms? 
But, that be yours n hers business. Jest as long as  shes happy. Is she?"  
 
 


"I don't know." Mia answered honestly.  

Looking at Mia Georgia frowned, "Whats yous mean yous dun't know?  Yous is 
spendin time wit her aint ya?" 


"Yes, but that doesn't mean I know her well enough yet to know if  she's 
happy."  

"Whats you mean yous dunt knows her wells enough? Is she happy whens  yous is 
together?" 


Mia nodded. "I think she is when I'm not giving her a hard time."  


"Whys you wanna give the poor girl a hard time?  Dun't yous like her?"  


"It's not a matter of liking her." Mia replied with a bit of a huff.  


"Nows dunt you be huffing at me missy. I take  yous cross my knees ifn yous 
not careful. Whats you mean it not being a matter  of liking her? Either yous 
do or yous dunt. She needs someone, ever since....."  


"Her husband left?" Mia finished.  


Georgia looked Mia, "Hows yous knowd bout him?"  


"I checked Skyler out before I started working for her." Mia  answered. "I 
wanted to know as much as I could so I knew how to work with her."  


"Yous checked her out? Jest what did yous find  out wit this here checkin 
out?"  

"What I needed to know." 


Georgia was quiet for a moment. "Jest what did  yous need to know?"  


Mia sighed. "Didn't I just explain that?"  


"Lets me re say that. What did you find out bout  Ms. Skyler?"  


Sighing Mia told Georgia everything she'd learned about Skyler. She  knew 
about her parents, and about her husband, about her service record. The  whole 
nine yards.  


Taking a quick break before she had to return to  the bridge Skyler made her 
way to her quarter's. Stopping outside the door she  thought she heard voices. 
She opened the door and walked in to find Georgia and  Mia. "Uh, did I miss 
something? Georgia what are you doing here?"  Georgia  looked at Skyler, 
"Wells, Ms. Skyler Is came to check on yous and found this  person in your 
quarters." Skyler looked at Mia. "Yes, she has my permission to  be here. Are 
you okay 
Mia?"  


Mia smiled brightly at the sight of Skyler. She hadn't realized just  how 
worried she was until she saw that she was ok. "Yeah, I'm fine. Are you?"  


Looking at Mia Skyler smiled. "I am now,  especially seeing you. I hope you 
didn't worry too much? Georgia I take it you  and Mia have met?" Not sure what 
to say Georgia simply replied, "Yes Ms. Skyler.  Wes jest met."  


"She threatened to take me over her knee." Mia said evenly, although  there 
was a knowing gleam in her eyes as she looked at Skyler.  


"She did, did she? Am I going to have to do it  for her?" Skyler could see 
the look of surprise in Georgia's face. "Don't worry  ole lady, sometimes you 
just have to follow through with what you are going to  do when it comes to 
this 
one. I'm not gonna hurt her. Was there something  special you wanted?" 
Georgia was speechless for a moment. "No, Ms. Skyler. Nows  thats Is see yous 
is 
okay I will leave yous to your business. Twas nice to meet  yous Ms. Mia." 
Georgia looked at them both, shook her head and  walked  out the door. 

Looking at Mia, Skyler chuckled, "Guess I am going to have to  explain things 
to her someday. Now, do I need to put you over my knees again?" 


Getting up off the couch, Mia walked over and wrapped her arms  around 
Skyler's neck. "You could try." She teased.  


"You think so?" Skyler cupped Mia's face and  looked into her eyes. "I've 
missed you." She leaned down and kissed her gently,  then picked her up and sat 
down on the couch and placed Mia over her knees.  


"Hey!" Mia wiggled. "Skyler!"  


"What?" Skyler gave Mia a few swats on her  behind.  


"Let me up!" Mia giggled when she realized Skyler was playing.  "Please."  


"What do I get if I do let you up?"  


Mia smirked. "I don't bite your calf."  


"Now, now. You bite my calf I will have to swat  harder. Surely you can come 
up with a better answer than that?"  


"I could bite a couple of other places." Mia replied with a giggle.  


Skyler laughed. "Don't start something you can't  finish missy." Rolling Mia 
over she leaned down and kissed her deeply.  


Closing her eyes Mia wrapped her arms around Skyler and kissed her  back.  


Skyler held Mia tight. "God I missed you and was  worried about you. I didn't 
like not knowing where you were or if you were  okay."  


"We're both ok and everything's over now." Mia replied softly as she  ran her 
fingers through Skyler's hair. "I'm glad your ok. How's your sister? I  heard 
what happened down there."  


"She's okay. I checked on her and then had to  check on you. Her BP was up a 
little but it was coming down." Skyler so wanted  to tell Mia about the ship 
from the future but knew she couldn't. Gently  caressing Mia's cheeks, she 
looked at her, "Are you sure you are ok, that we are  ok? All this has made me 
realize a few things."  


"Such as?" Mia asked.  


"That I don't want to go through life alone. I  want you in my life." Skyler 
looked at Mia and kissed her forehead. 

Mia looked down and sighed. "You know I don't know if I can do that,  
Skyler." 


"I know, but that doesn't mean I can't keep  trying or hoping does it?" There 
was a little disappointment in Skyler's voice  but she tried her best to hide 
it. 


"If your willing to wait me out then I'm not going to tell you not  to." Mia 
leaned back against Skyler and sighed.  


Skyler held Mia tighter and closer. "I'm not  going anywhere and I will wait 
as long as I have to. I happen to think you are  worth it. Now what in the 
world did Georgia want?" Mia, if you only knew how  I felt.....   


"She wanted to know what I was doing here, and if you were happy,  and 
stuff." I wish I'd had better answers for her, for both of you.  


"So what did you tell her? You know she's only  looking out for me? Until 
Melanie appeared she was the only family I had. She  doesn't want me to be 
alone. 
I hope she didn't scare you away?"  


Mia shook her head. "I was a bit snippy with her, but no she hasn't  scared 
me away, and yes I know she's only looking out for you."  


"You, snippy? Couldn't be? She can seem a bit  harsh but she's really not." 
Looking at Mia, Skyler gently ran her finger over  her lips. "Anyone tell you 
lately how beautiful you are?"  


Mia giggled. "You just did."  


"Smart ass!"  


Mia grinned. "Would you have me be any other way?"  


"Do you really want me to answer that?"  Skyler grinned.  


"Yes, actually I do." Mia replied with a grin.  


"I think it would be better to show you." Taking  Mia's hand she led her into 
the bedroom.  

"I was  hoping you would sooner or later." Mia teased as she pulled Skyler to 
her as  soon as they were in the bedroom. "I really am glad your ok." She 
whispered  before kissing her.
