<USS Avalon> The Watchers

The Watchers
by Lieutenants David, Phillip and Katerina Waterson

David, Phillip and Katerina Waterson all sit in David's darkened quarters on
the Banshee and stare out the window at the Avalon.

"I don't remember that ship."

"We were young, way too young."

"You were young, I was the oldest."

"Only by two minutes."

"So... that still makes me the oldest"

"Do you think that Dad is on that ship right now?"

"I don't know. All the information from Mom was that he was."

"I still don't remember that ship."

"You'd forget where you put your phaser if it weren't attached to your hip."

"I can't help it, I'm a little forgetful."

"I would really like to see Mom."

"Me too, after the virus she contracted ten years ago, she's never been the
same."

"I agree, the blank stares she gives, they are really eerie. Sometimes I
wonder if they will ever find a cure."

"I wonder if we'll ever get back to our own time. I heard things in the
Jefferies tubes that how we got here, is now closed off."

"I'm sure the Captain will find a way."

All three of them sigh at the same time.

"Well, I think we all better get back to work."

"But I don't want to."

"I'm sure your chief will have something to say about that."

"I guess so. Alright, let's go."

The three of them stand up at the same time and walk out into the corridor
and return to their separate duties.
