The Thunderstorm

“Now I believe we have work to do, Commanders, dismissed”, as Keith began 
to 
stand from the conference table.
 
On the bridge the communications system activated automatically, “Priority 
message for your Captain, Keith Ketchum.”
 
Phillipa looked back at Karg, “Sir, I do not know where it is coming from.”
 
Karg opened a comm to Keith, “Captain, we have a priority message for you, 
unknown source.”
 
“Put it in here, Karg.”  Keith looked from Skyler to Sierra, “most 
peculiar.”
 
The screen showed a human captain, but the view was very narrow and nothing 
could be made out around him.  “Captain Keith Ketchum, I presume?”
 
“Yes, and you are?”
 
“That is not your concern.  You are in violation of UCP Code 015 and are 
ordered to surrender your vessel and prepare to be boarded for execution.”  
The 
other ship’s Captain’s voice was without emotion.
 
“Code 015?”  Keith inquired.
 
“You are out of your time, the judgment is automatic guilt, and the 
punishment is death to you and the destruction on your vessel.  You have one 
hour to 
prepare your crew.”
