<USS Avalon> The Starting of a New Career

The Starting of a New Career

Location:Her Quarters, StarFleet Academy, Earth 
 
She is packing up her stuff getting ready to be assigned and hears her  
intercom go off. "Midshipman Hi'Qa'Ri come to my office now." she drops a boot  
and 
replies to him. "On my way Admiral." She leaves her quarters, down the  
hallway into the turbo lift to take her to report to the Admiral. Later she  
arrives and rings the chimes. Hearing the Admiral's voice behind the door she  
enters and stands at attention in front of him. "Midshipman Ka'Rin Hi'Qa'Ri  
reporting as ordered Sir." The Admiral stands and hands her a new uniform with  
the 
rank of Ensign. "You will be assigned to the USS Avalon as one of their  
security officers with the rank of Ensign. We have the USS Hood that will be  
heading very close to them and from there you will take a shuttle to the USS  
Avalon and report of Captain Kechum. Any questions?" She reaches over and takes 
 
her new uniform. "No Sir. No questions." After he dismisses her she heads back  
to her quarters and wonders what kind of ship is the USS Avalon. 
 
Location: Her guest Quarters, USS Hood
 
With the permission from the Captain she looks over some information on the  
ship she will soon be assigned to. Feeling the butterflies, as Humans would 
call  them, she is eager to get started with her duties on the Avalon. "USS 
Avalon  NCC-27926-B is a Modified Intrepid Class Star Ship...." As the computer 
reads it  out to her. "Stop!"  She growls then catching herself that she was  
talking to a computer. "Computer, did you say the ship has a cloaking  device?"
She listens as the computer explains and goes on into more detail of the  
ship. After some time has gone by she hears the ship's Captain inform her that  
they have arrived at the planet and her shuttle was waiting for her.   Grabbing 
her bag she replies and gets the next turbo lift to the Shuttle Bay. 
 
She enters the shuttle that was waiting for her and gets clearance for take  
off. Instead of going straight to the USS Avalon she lands on the planet below 
 her and goes hunting. Just with her strength, speed she chases down what  
looks like a deer and kills it by wrapping her tail around the deer's neck.  
With her claws she rips the hide off and starts eating the deer raw. When she  
finishes eating and finds herself covered in deer blood and for once she was  
glad she was still in her Midshipman uniform. Seeing a lake in the distance she 
 
runs over there and dives in washing the blood off. Seeing the sun set she 
knows  that her spare time is all most up and gets out and changes into her 
Ensign  uniform. While flying to the USS Avalon she wonders what the others 
would 
think  about her eating habits. 
 
Location: The USS Avalon 
 
As she comes within hailing distance of the Avalon she hails them. "This is  
Ensign Ka'Rin Hi'Qa'Ri from StarFleet Academy. Permission to come aboard." She 
 waits for a reply and gets into place to dock.
