The Start

Caine was slightly amused that the commander ignored her but she wasn?t 
worried, she knew Skyler was in her own world most of the time.  So Caine just 
stood there waiting silently, knowing the reward of silence and patience, as 
Captain Ketchum gave his orders to Commander Skyler.

After Skyler left the bridge, Keith turned his attention to Caine, "Counselor, 
I need you and Commander Sierra to head down to deck seven, and set up shop in 
the Auxilliary computer core.  Have the bridge systems set there as a backup in 
case anything might happen.  As you just heard, Commander Skyler will be in the 
Auxilliary Bridge on deck thirteen.?

A bit surprised that Keith would assign her and Javan together, Caine nodded, 
without speaking and immediately headed for the turbo life and down to deck 
seven.  It would be interesting to work side by side with Javan like this.  
Knowing she would keep it totally professional, didn?t stop Caine from still 
being very nervous, this would be the first time she would see him since the 
spilling of her past and the investigation.  

Walking onto Deck Seven and to the Auxilliary Computer Core, Caine began to get 
herself ready for what could possibly be, the second fight for her life, only 
this time, other lives were in danger as well.
