The Front

"Chairman, Sir", the aide ran in and bowed waiting to be recognized.
 
Dawson put down his cup of tea, and waited an extra moment before he spoke, 
"Yes, what is it?"
 
"Sir.  Reports from the war-front."
 
"Well... speak up."
 
"Risa, it's been cleansed.  A bio-weapon from one of our forces."
 
Standing he walked over to a map of the quadrant.  Tapping the screen around 
Risa from the brown that it was before, as part of the Breen-Risan-Naussican 
Coalition, to black.  "Well, that puts a small hole in their coalition forces, 
the Breen never sent ships in that far to assist them."  He looked at the large 
section of space that they covered.  "I sometimes wish we could have had the 
Cardassians on our side before the Breen totally annihilated them.  At least we 
got the few remaining survivors off the planet, and to our side."  
 
"Yes, Sir."
 
"Who destroyed Risa?"
 
"The Avalon, Sir.  It is under the command of Major General Murgo.  As well as 
two other ships."
 
"Bold move, General, but good", speaking to himself.  "Send the General a 
commendation at once.  Where are they going now."
 
"Betazed.  It's called for reinforcements, seems that the Breen do have eyes on 
it."
 
"Good."  Turning from the map, "Expel the Risan Ambassador from the planet.  
Since they do not have a planet, I will not recognize the Ambassador."
 
The aide nodded.
 
"And he looked to the other side of the map, I need to talk to the Ambassador 
Li of Bajor and Ambassador Ja'Reth of Argelius, and get me the Vice-Chairman 
Sierra.  Time to voo some of our enemies to become allies", tapping on the 
Romulan, Klingon and Tholian-Gorn sections of the map," The Breen are getting 
too bold."
 
The aide bowed and turned swiftly and left the room to make the calls.
