<USS Avalon> Team Meeting - Part 1

Team Meeting - Part 1
By Captain Keith Ketchum
With Lieutenant Karg White Feather and Ensign Jordan Ranger

Sierra, Karg, Thomas, Ranger, Moreya, Roan, and Snuffy joined Skyler and
Ketchum in the conference room off the bridge. Yeoman Veronica Pageant was
busy
off to the side, taking notes. They looked around the table at each other,
hoping for a piece of information, in order to assist the Allegiance.

Keith watched each of them a moment, before he started. "Good afternoon, I'm
sure you are all aware that our sister ship, the Allegiance, is in trouble.
We received a rather broken communication from them that leads me to believe
that she was boarded and now they are experiencing radiation issues, and other
calamities. Mr. Karg, would you care to brief us?"

"Yes sir", Karg stood and walked to the viewer, "It appears that the
Allegiance has stopped near the Aquli Nebula and is currently dead in space."
Karg
pauses for dramatic effect. "Her engines appear to be offline, though it is
not
recommended to use warp or impulse near the nebula, due to the radiation and
dark matter. No other information is available at this time, though I do have
Ensign Shimbrodus running continual scans." The team looked at long range
sensors of the Allegiance near the nebula on the viewer.

"Thank you, Karg. Currently we are still about three hours away, even at
high warp. So we will have a little time to prepare for the rescue. Now are
there any comments or questions?"

Ranger responds, "Sir, command has asked that while we are near the nebula,
they want us to run scans, they advise that the area is full of dark matter,
and dense pockets of metaphasic radiation. To me it means, basically, finish
the Allegiance's mission."

"Oh joy, not like we won't be busy with some unknown life-forms and trying to
save another ship, but we have to run a survey mission also", Keith responded
frustrated.

He noticed some of the team nodding in slight agreement.
