**This log takes place after a log with Dr. Moreya which is not yet
completed**
"Stranger in the House"
Cmdr Skyler
Skyler returned to the ship after her visit with Moreya. As usual Moreya
had a great insight into Skyler and what was going on. They had had a
pleasant visit and talking to her seem in some way to help Skyler understand
at
least some of what was going on. She was still going to have to talk to
Georgia
to fully understand the situation. As for Melanie, well, she would deal with
her in time. She didn't understand why she didn't remember Melanie or that
her parents had even had another child. Yet she remembered Lyryn Cate.
She remembered everything that had happened on the Tempest. She
remembered how she spent time talking to Lyryn trying to convince her that
destroying
the Avalon was not a good idea. If she could remember that after two failed
brain wipes, why couldn't she remember a sister. She was still torn about
seeing Dr. Cazook. That woman was just a little too strange for her taste.
Upon arriving back on board the Avalon, Skyler stowed her gear in her
quarter's and checked the computer for any messages. There were a few. Mainly
from Georgia and one from Mia, who was apparently her new yeoman. This was
strange in that she had never had a personal yeoman before. However at that
moment it was the farthest thing from her mind. She would look into that
situation later, first she wanted to go to her office to see if in fact it had
been
released to her. It was bad enough when Flubb took it over but now that he was
dead he still had control of it, regardless of what she had tried.
She entered the bridge and found it empty. She really didn't expect to
find anyone seeing as how everyone was on shoreleave. It actually suited
Skyler just fine. She preferred to sit in her office and just listen to the
sounds
of the ship or change the decor depending on her mood. She had to admit that
being able to change her office into anything she wanted was an added perk
to the Avalon.
The first thing she noticed was that the crime scene tape was gone. Her
office was finally hers again. Now all she had to do was clean up the mess
left by the different investigating teams. When she walked in she fully
expected to smell stale uncirculated air, see chalk marks or other forensic
signs.
To her surprise none of that was present. It was as if someone had come in,
during her abscence and totally cleaned her office. It was nice but a litte
un-nerving at the same time. Who would go to such lengths for her? This was
another mystery and she had had her fill of mysteries lately.
She went over to her desk and noticed that everything was nice and tidy.
PADD's were in their place as were holo's that she had. Her commendations
had been arranged on the wall, almost as if someone was trying to impress her.
But who? There weren't many people who had acess to her office and those that
did, were not likely to be cleaning and rearranging. For the time being she
chose not to think about it. Instead she walked over to the replicator and
made herself a drink and took it over to her couch.
She was going to use this quiet time to contemplate the past mission,
and other facts that had come to light. Hopefully no one would bother her.
