<USS Avalon> Station 51

Station 51

by Captain Keith Ketchum and Lieutenant Commander Anthony Manson with Senior
Lieutenant Alder Shimbrodus and Junior Lieutenant Phillipa Waterson

The turbolift doors wisped open as Keith walked into the bridge, hands at his
back. "Report."

"We've dropped out of warp. Sensors pick up.. nothing," Anthony replied. The
viewscreen showed empty space.

Keith gave a small smile, "It's like that for a reason. Miss Waterson, open a
channel."

Phillipa nodded, working at the console, "Channel open, sir."

"This is Captain Keith Ketchum of the U.S.S. Avalon - verification Alpha One,
Beta Two, Omega One."

"Welcome to Station 51, Captain Ketchum, we will take you from here. Admiral
Valdez would like to see you when you get a chance."

"Understood." Suddenly with a slight jolt, a tractor beam seemed to pull them
forward. Keith sat and watched, remembering the first time that he had been to
the station, and it caught him by surprise. The viewscreen went to static and
then shut off as did the external sensors. As if to comfort the crew on the
bridge, "As planned."

As the ship was pulled forward, it went through a cloaking screen and
disappeared from normal space. If anyone had been watching them on sensors, a
false sensor pattern would have went off in another direction before they had
even gotten close to the stations location.

"I think we can all go to the ready room to take a look at the station. Since
the viewscreen won't be of use here. And they will have us controlled to a
docking area. Alder, I will need to get information about the pieces of cargo
that were brought over. And give the Romulan some
decent quarters", Keith advised as he walked to the Ready Room.

"It's been taken care of," Anthony replied. Keith nodded and looked out the
window.

The station was pure white, it was a tri-tower station, similar to the design
McKinley, yet smaller, and appeared that three were interconnected. There were
two other ships hovering around it. Keith saw the names on them, the Sutherland
and the Allegiance. This was technically the Avalon's home port also, though
you would never find it on any records.

"Isn't it grand, Mr. Manson?"

Anthony simply nodded as he looked at the gigantic space station.

The ship moved to a docking port and he could hear the moorings lock on. He
whispered to himself, "You're home, Ava."
