"Shuttle Bay Report"
Admiral Keith Ketchum and Captain Skyler
 
 
Leaving the shuttlebay with it's strange shuttle and AI, Skyler tried to  
figure out what she was going to tell Keith. She couldn't decide if she should  
go to sickbay and check on Talea or report in as she was supposed to. She opted 
 to report in then stop in sickbay and talk to the new OPS  officer.
 
Walking along the halls of the new ship she couldn't help but be amazed at  
the difference between the two ships. Even the air was different. It didn't 
have  that recycled smell that develops after even a few months of use. The 
walls,  carpet, even the lighting seemed less harsh than before. I hope this is 
the 
 last time I or anyone else has to abandon an Avalon!!
 
Entering the lift she ordered it to take her to the bridge. She leaned back  
against the walls and realized that they were also new. Everything was new. 
Her  life had changed drastically since they had abandoned the Avalon-B. Her 
family  was gone, yet at the same time she had a new family with Tavi. It 
seemed 
right  having Tavi in her life. Like it was meant to be.
 
The lift slowed as it reached it's destination. Once it stopped, the doors  
opened and she was back on the bridge. A new bridge with new officers. One 
thing  remained the same. The man in the center seat. Keith Ketchum. She had 
started  out as a lowly ensign working in sickbay all those years ago and under 
his 
 tutelage had worked her way up to Captain and XO of this magnificent vessel. 
She  had looked up to him, when he had left her in charge during war games 
and when  he and Cmdr. val Qis had been stranded on Romulus. Since then she had 
decided  that no matter what she would stand behind him or beside him. 
Whatever he asked  of her.
 
Walking onto the bridge she made her way over to her seat to the right of  
the center chair. Sitting down she stared at the view screen before  speaking.  
"Admiral, we have retrieved the shuttle that was transmitting  the distress 
signal. After some unusual events, the occupant was extracted and  is currently 
residing in Sickbay."
 
"Unusual events Captain? Just what might those unusual events be?" 
 
Taking a deep breath before answering Skyler spoke matter of factly, "We  
needed to call one of the marines to open the shuttle. No one seemed to know  
what the readings on the side of the shuttle. It turned out that they were  
Regellian. The same as the marine officer and the occupant of the  shuttle."
 
"Regellians? We have Regellian's aboard?" Keith didn't know if Skyler was  
taking him serious or not. He just left the comment as it was.
 
Ignoring the comment Skyler continued her report. "The occupant of the  
shuttle is our new OPS officer. She was in statis until such time as we revived 
 
her. She is now be watched by Dr. Cazook. I was going to take a trip to sickbay 
 
and have a talk with her, with your permission of course."
 
"Maintain present course Ms. Waterson. Once we retrieve what we left behind  
we can move forward. Don't you agree Captain?"
 
"Yes sir. Permission to head to sickbay?"
 
"Permission granted."
 
Getting up to head to sickbay, Skyler shook her head at Keith. Unbeknownst  
to Skyler, Keith was chuckling to himself.
