<USS Avalon> "Setting up a New Shop" -- Doctor Roan

"Setting up a New Shop"
-- a log by
Felicity Roan

Felicity grimaced noticeably as the comm came and gave her the
instructions to mobilize a team and head to Decks 1 and 2 for an alternate
medical bay.
She didn't like the thought of being boarded and liked the thought of being
shot at by strangers even less.

She grabbed Nurse Gwendolyn Parker and Nurse Philip Turner to make their
way with the necessary equipment and supplies to the designated area. She had
already watched Idrys and Lewis make their way to other stations and prayed
both of them came through whatever was coming safely. The thought of losing
staff pained Felicity greatly. Even though they were having problems because
of
Commander Skyler, deep down with the same goal, she knew they would come
around to work together when the time was right, and that's why she hadn't said
anything to either of them thus far.

Sensing the tension that Parker and Turner were feeling inside she spoke
to them softly but directly, "This isn't an easy mission that we're being
asked to work on, but it's crucial. Please feel free to be nervous and uneasy
but
at the moment we're called to work on crew or help in another capacity, you
have to put that aside. Lives will depend on each of us. Things may get
rough.
We'll have to work together as a team to make sure we all get through it in
one piece. Now let's head out. I think we've got enough supplies. I've sent
Williams to drop off some additional supplies to the other station and then
they will join us on Deck 2. Any questions?"

They looked uneasily at each other before shaking their heads and
offering a quiet, "No Ma'am," it was all she could expect in the situation.
None of
them wanted to be here, but still here they were and they would get through
this or die trying. Now all they could do was put their faith in the Command
Officers of Ketchum, Skyler and Sierra and hope for the best.

Felicity hoped she wasn't asking for too much...
