Captain Lewis was not happy at all.  It didn't help that 2nd Lt. Ketchum was 
an hour late reporting for duty. If he  kept up this kind of behavior she was 
going to have to do something she really  didn't want to do. He wasn't a bad 
fellow, just not as efficient as he could  be.
 
He needed to be more independent  and able to function on his own without her 
having to tell him what had to be  done. Her security squad was not going to 
be a disappointment to Major Roan  or to the Avalon. He was supposed to be 
able to handle the simple things like  keeping count of the inventory in the 
armory, making sure the phaser's and such  were fully charged. Simple things. 
How 
he made it his far she would never  understand. Nevertheless here he was and 
she was going to make him earn his  keep.
 
"All hands, this is Colonel  Shimbrodusâ Red Alert, Battle  stations," came 
the voice over the comm, "Major General Murgo to the  bridge.  We have engaged 
the  Risans."
 
"Shit, Damn and Hell. I don't need  this now on top of everything else. 
Ketchum, I need you to make sure everyone  has a fully charged phaser and that 
all 
security teams are prepared and ready to  take on any possible boarders. I am 
going to the bridge and see what I can do.  Make sure to keep in contact with 
me at all times and whatever you do, don't  screw up."
 
Georgia looked at him with a stern  look, grabbed a phaser and a rifle and 
headed off towards the bridge. She just  hoped that they were ready for 
whatever 
was in store for  them.
