<USS Avalon> Repairs - Part 1

Repairs - Part 1
By Lieutenant Junior Grade Diana Winters

Diana had snuck aboard the Allegiance before the shift was to start; she was
supposed to wait for the Avalon engineer and security guard before she came
over to work on the Allegiance. She should have been at least accompanied by a
member of security, but she felt that she could get more work done without a
lackey watching her. Besides she thought, if she was going to die, she was
going to die; what was a security officer supposed to do?

She hoped that whatever seemed to be stalking the crew, would not realize she
was here, and she could work peacefully.

She had worn the protective EVA suit and it was set up with the protective
items, so she did feel someone safe.

After a while of working on a computer interface for the power systems, the
lights dimmed and then regained full brightness as power seemed to have come
back on, all over the ship.

The power relays were starting to come alive, now, onto the communications
systems, she thought to herself.

The Being was actually sitting in the botany offices, when the lights dimmed
and came back up.

The lights made him wonder if there wasn’t actually someone on the ship with
him. He hadn’t seen anyone since that being that stabbed him, why he
hadn’t
gone liquid was beyond him.

The Being floated into the corridor and headed for the logical place for
other beings to be; engineering. As it floated into engineering, it saw Diana,
and
instead of attacking immediately, it watched her.
