"Passing on the Message"

Sitting at her desk in the IST offices, Amelia listened carefully to  Skyler’
s voice.
 
"Amelia, get me Georgia Lewis immediately. She should be back on board by  
now, if not find her." 
 
Amelia press her comm badge, “Right away, Commander.” As soon as she’d  
closed the link with Skyler Amelia called up the ship’s manifest and looked 
up  
Georgia Lewis. Junior Lieutenant Georgia Lewis, a nurse working in sick bay  
under Doctor Roan. She was a forty-five year old African American woman from  
Mississippi. A window with no children of her own, but from the looks of things 
 
she appeared to be something of a guardian to Skyler. 
 
“Computer locate Junior Lieutenant Georgia Lewis.” Amelia called out as she 
 
finished shimming over the woman’s profiles. 
 
The computer chirped and then replied, “Nurse Lewis has not returned to the  
Avalon.” 
 
A perfectly sculpted blonde brow raised just a little. “With only a three  
hour recall time I’m sure the transporters are backed up.” She said aloud.  
Amelia picked up a padd and wrote a memo to Ms. Lewis requesting that she meet  
with Commander Skyler first thing upon her return. “Computer deliver message, 
 
flag it as priority, and alert me the moment Junior Lieutenant  Lewis is on  
board.”
 
Amelia smiled, nodded her head, and then went back to work.
