<USS Avalon> On Their Way

On Their Way
by Captain Keith Ketchum, Senior Lieutenant Commander Anthony Manson, Senior
Lieutenant Alder Shimbrodus

Keith walked out on the bridge and looked around, he had seen the reports
that JAG was on the ship to do some 'snooping' around. After making sure that
the coast was clear, he moved to his seat and sighed as he sat.

He was almost deliberatly avoiding the JAG Officers, until they were at least
away from Station 51. He looked over at Manson, "Status, Commander."

"Sir, there are still some people under quarentine on Deck 13. Those that
were removed from there are in Sickbay recovering. We have not received a
recent update on their condition. As you know JAG is on the ship, and have
been
assigned offices and quarters for their department."

"Repairs?"

"Repairs are complete thanks to the assistance of the Station 51 engineers,
most of the engineering team were under quarentine."

"And what about the Romulan?"

"Once the Romulan is free from the quarentine area, he has been advised that
you desire a meeting. The Romulans have sent a communication asking about our
status of his return. I have let them know that there were some issues and
that he will be returned as soon as possible." Anthony replied. The Romulans
didn't need to know what was happening, not yet.

Keith just sat there, not listening, but listening. He was in a daze.

The man seemed distracted, and Anthony decided to speak up, "Captain?"

"Yes, very good, Mr. Manson, thank you."

Manson nodded carefully.

"Ms. Waterson, lay in a course for the Romulan Neutral Zone, and Mr.
Shimbrodus send a message to the Romulan vessel P'tonk that we are en route
and
should be there in 28 hours."

"Aye Sir", they both responded.

"Transmission sent, Captain," Alder advised. He, too ,could see that the
Captain was distracted.

"Also send a message to Station 51, thanking them for their assistance.
Clear us for departure."

"We have been cleared, Captain."

"Then let's be on our way."
