<USS Avalon> "Olive Branch"

"Olive Branch"
Lt. Colonel Soliel

Soliel sat at her desk, rubbing her temples. Between taking care of Vevay
and Mister Dareth, the attack on Betazed, not knowing anything about her
parents, and the increasing negativity onboard the ship she was getting a
monster
of a migraine. She need to relax a little bit before she made herself ill.

~Thomas, tea and a aspirin please.~

Unzipping her uniform jacket Soliel slipped it off her shoulders and laid it
across her desk. She then leaned back to rest her head on her chair and
closed her head. ~Come to me tonight, Dear One.~ Soliel had left Vevay alone
over
the past few days, allowing the younger woman to come to her when she needed
too, but now she felt was the time to get the girl back on track.

When the door to her office whooshed open, Soliel didnât even bother to open
her eyes. She could sense it was Thomas. âAny word?â

Thomas set the cup of tea down on the desk and then handed Soliel a
hypospary. âNo, Colonel not yet.â

Soliel frowned as she pressed the hypo to her own neck. Daniel had promised
to do his best to find out about her parents. Reaching out she quickly
pressed the button on her desk that would seal off her office. Once the
familiar
hiss alerted her that she and Thomas were alone she could feel him standing
behind her, working her temples to ease her headache. âI plan on spending
the
evening with Vevay tonight, Thomas, and while Iâm doing so I need you to run
a
couple of earns for me.â

âOf course Lady. What shall I do for you?â Thomas replied as he hands
moved
to Solielâs neck.

âYour going to deliver a few trinkets for me.â Soliel replied with her
eyes
still closed. âFirst, a single sunflower. Then an arrangement of exotic
lilies. Finally a bottle of my best port.â

Thomas lifted a sandy blonde eye brown. His Lady must have found someone who
has peaked her interest. She was clearly about to began her favorite game.

Soliel smiled. âThis isnât a game, Thomas. Iâm reaching out to a lost
lonely soul. Must like I did with my Dear One.â

âForgive me, Lady. I did not mean to..â

Reaching up, Soliel patted Thomasâ hand which was now on her shoulder. âI
know, Pet. I know.â

âWho shall the gifts go to?â He asked, though he had a pretty good idea.

Again Soliel smiled. âThat delicious yet troubled Ms. Cross. I think itâs
time someone other then her wormy cousin offered the girl an olive branch of
friendship. Itâs not going to hurt to smooth the way for Vevay to make
amends
either.â

âThe gifts should be anonymous?â

Soliel nodded. âFor now they have to be.â She handed him several small
white cards which sheâd had in her pocket, and a padd. âAll my
instructions are
on that.â

Thomas waited until he was sure no one was in the science lab so he could
get in and out unseen. He left the bright yellow sunflower on Jaydenâs desk
with the handwritten note his Lady wanted to go with it.

The words that enlighten the soul are more precious then jewels

The next night, he waited until he could slip into Jaydenâs quarters where
he placed the bowl of lilies on her table with the note that went with it.

Be fit for more then the thing you are now doing. Let everyone know that
you have a reserve in yourself, that you have more power than you are now
using.

Again Thomas waited for yet another night to pass before he placed the
bottle of port, itâs card tired around itâs neck with a purple ribbing, on
Jaydenâ
s coffee table.

We don't receive wisdom; we must discover it for ourselves after a journey
that no one can take for us or spare us. Your journey has been hard and
harsh to date, but there is no longer a reason to take it alone.

On the forth night Thomas simply left a handwritten note card on Jaydenâs
mirror.

Remember that you are beautiful. You are powerful. You are strong. You are
kind. Your are wroth greatness and love. For you are a woman.

The last thing Thomas delivered was simply slipped under Jaydenâs door.

Look not mournfully into the past. It comes not back again. Wisely improve
the present. It is thine. Go forth to meet the shadowy future, without fear.

Meet me on the holodeck for dinner tonight at nine.
